The Rainbow - Where It All Begins!
It all begins with the rainbow and ends with the rainbow. It is possibly one of the best sights to see during the monsoons. The rainbow consists of all the 7 major colours splashed across the sky from one end to the other. They say you find a pot of Gold at the end of the rainbow and I have been searching for mine for the last 30 years. Hopefully, I will find it before I die. And, even if I don't I have loved every moment of this incredible journey called life. Especially loved the bit when it rained!


The Peacock spreads his Wings!
The peacock proudly spreads it's wings to signal the onset of the monsoon season in India. Rightly given the title "National Bird of India"; the peacock looks stunningly beautiful in his majestic glory when it spreads it's wings to attract potential mates. A further bundle of joy is to witness the Peacock dance during the showers!


Kerala - God's Own Country!
Kerala claimed to be God's Own Country is usually the coast where the monsoons hit first in India. Strong winds, heavy rainfall, vacant shacks by the beaches, empty resorts, etc. characterise this tropical paradise in southern India. Kerala is the place to be during the rains. However, it's a pity tourists don't visit it that often and most beach resorts and backwater boats are not operational during the monsoons!
