On of the strangest things that ever happened to me was on a Tuesday, yes...that’s right, a Tuesday. March 26th of 99 I think. Yes...that’s when a mysterious man passed me on the street. It was ten o’clock at night just before the strip closed on the west end of the city. It was dark out and the lights on the side of the street seemed to glow with a magnitude of radiant streams of light flowing in such a way that whenever he stepped into the light it seemed to glare off him and blind me of my site.

I was standing there North of him on the intersection of Fernwood St. and Polly avenue. He walked towards me ever so slowly. With each step he took, one foot in front of the other, he seemed as thought he was gliding through the air as if he was flying. With each gentle stride, his shoe grazed his pants and made a noise so faint that from fifty feet away I could barely hear it. As he got closer to me, I could see that he was wearing black leather shoes so shiny and new looking they could almost have been girls, but in his own way seemed to wear them so justly. They had laces that were also black lined with silver stitching so they shined light at you if you stood in exactly the right place. His pants, which were also black leather, wrapped tightly around lower waist and his legs, streamed down passed the tip of his shoe’s. As he got closer to me I could see that they accented his body muscles so attractively in his own bruit way. As he passed the light from Meyer’s music store I could see his shirt.

By this time he was just reaching the opposite side of the street from which I was standing. I could barely make out what his face looked liked, but through the shadows, what I could see was that he had long sideburns that edged his face and ran across his cheeks. They were straight on the bottom almost parallel to the ground and angling down towards his lips. To my disappointment, it was too dark to see his eyes, but I’m sure they were just as remarkable and mind-boggling as the rest of him.

At that very moment, as I was staring at him with my jaw dropped praying to God that he would glance for just two seconds in my direction, he slowly turned his head in towards me and with his mysterious eyes, stared right back at me. Overcome with passion and delight, I managed somehow to turn around to avoid my embarrassment, and when I turned back around three seconds later, he was gone. Vanished!

Till this very day I still don’t know if he was real but I am certain now that I’ll never let him escape again!
