An Evening Chill

The winter of our love has come,
Its chill has gripped the air.
Hearts grown cold with dreams undone,
Nevermore to care.

Darkness fills a heart once bright-
As love begins to dim;
Bringing sorrow on sleepless nights,
For things that might have been.
