In that Great Land

I left myheart in the bosom
of earth's evergreens and streams,
alone. desolate.

I met you in that valley
of fruitfulness and life.

In those days we danced together
in the pillows of Nature's sky.

Time had no bearings.
Reality held no truth.

So, in that land of rolling hills, of everlasting love
I left my heart,
to keep the legacy of me and you alive.
