What aperfect day for a funeral.

I stand here and let the rain wash away all the bad days
Someday the sun will come out and dry my tears
The good memories will come back.

Memories of the first time I saw him
Leaning against the door sill
The first time he spoke to me.

I remember how he asked me to marry him
I remember my wedding day, so long ago.

They said it would not last
Is 42 years long enough for them?

I will remember the good times
But for now.....
What were they?
When were they?

Someday, I will remember.
When the sun comes out
I will remember
