Gently Weeps My Aching Heart

Gentlyweeps my aching heart
Knowing not of when we part.
So quickly gone were you from me,
Me losing you- I could not see.

A day gone by with you
Was a joy to my heart.
Too few of these had I lived
But, I knew you?d be gone from the start.

Why did you hurt me so?
That is what I want to know.
My love for you ran deep and true,
And now my life is empty without you.

So, goodbye and farewell, my sweet love
What tragedy is this that ends this all to soon
With one last word you said goodbye,
And with that... my heart did die.
