What is Love?

A slice ofpoetry,
a fillet of soul,
a vivisection of the heart
or a healing bandage
covering an open wound
of the spirit

or perhaps a bondage
of desire to fantasy
and hope to magic;

mundane reality to dreams
as a rainbow tied to my shoe
with the invisible string of love
and kept in place
by the gravity of wishes.
