Creature of Light

Lingering,lithe and lovely,
she comes as a whispering cloud..
Pervading, with scent, my senses.
By a generous Nature endowed.

Gorgeous, gifted, and glowing,
a sunrise in motion is she.
Creature of light and of knowing,
the essence of Love's poetry.

Calmly, cooly, collected;
a willow, an aspen, a spruce.
Tall, graceful, swaying, perfected!
With life's love flowing effuse.

I know her in all her disguises;
bedraggled, disheveled, in mink.
She floats above all mortal prizes...
soothes like a cool, pleasant drink.

Passionate, private, delicious!
Whirlwind of ardor and craft;
impish, delightful, pernicious,
- even a tiny bit daft.

She comes to me morning and evening...
in noontime's radiant heat.
Alone or accompanied by millions -
forever, my heart skips it's beat.

This, my life's dearest treasure,
is that which heightens my life.
She brightens and sweetens by measure
the problems which with I am rife.

Forever, frequent, or always,
my Universe ceases to be.
Whenever she fills my life's hallways
I'm elated - she only chose, ME!
