Scary Ghost Stories
Grandparents House
I wanted to tellyou about my grandparent's house. Me and a couple of my cousinsspent alot of time there when we were young. My grandparents usedto watch us while our parents were at work. There are 4 of usclose to my age and we could really mix it up when we were young.There was 3 of us girls and 1 boy. I am an only child, the other2 girls are twins 6 months older than me, and the boy is 3 monthsyounger than me.
My grandparent's house is pretty big. They have never used theupstairs for anything but storage space. This made a great placefor us to kill time when we were kids. One day when we werearound 8 years old we were upstairs playing some kind of boardgame when we all noticed this big dark shadowy figure standing inthe doorway. My back was to the door when i noticed everybodystaring at it. At first glance i thought it was gramps, but wheni got my head fully turned i noticed it was transparent. By thetime we all freaked and screamed it was gone.
Needless to say it was a while before we went back up there. Itwas about 2 months later when we decided to play upstairs again.We were all in one room doing something when in the next room weheard some awful moaning. When we would step out into the hall itwould quit. One time we got brave and looked in the room, but itwas empty.
There is more things that happened in the house. My cousins andme spent most of our time there until we were around 16. Eventoday we sometimes see strange things upstairs. We found out fromthe twins' dad when we were older that there had been 2 peoplemurdered in the house long ago. Also, the house was used in theCivil War as part of the underground railroad and they were toldthat 5 slaves got caught there and were imediately killed, butthey don't know what part of the house this happened in.
It's weird how dispite seeing ghosts in this house for almost 20years and it's sad history we have had nothing but good timesthere. Let me know if you want to hear more about the house. Ihave 25 years of stories i can tell.
