Toy Truck

I have noticed somepostings dealing with dolls. I have never had anything out of theordinary happen with dolls, but my son did at one time have a toytruck which behaved strangely. It was a large yellow electronictruck which had some kind of silly name that I can't remember.What it did was it had wheels which were very wide, but had asmall radius. When it encountered an object blocking its path itstopped and made the wheel's radius larger then proceeded overthe thing blocking its path.

This toy had the most odd habit of turning itself on, and makingturns and such by itself. I would be sitting in my living roomwhen I would hear it fire up and proceed out my son's room anddirectly into the room in which I was sitting. My son lives withhis mother except for every other weekend which he spends with meso it wasn't because he had been playing with it recently. Ipicked the truck up, made sure the gear shift was in the offposition and placed it back in the boy's room. Just moments afterreturning to the living room, you got it here came the yellowtruck happily chugging into the middle of the room. It not onlycame on but had preformed a 60 degree turn all by itself. Thistoy was not designed to turn.

This strange behavior continued for around a couple of monthsuntil one night when a lady friend and I returned to my houselate in the evening. We had just entered the house and weregreeted by the electronic whirring of the truck which this timehad been stowed in the toy box for safe keeping. We entered myson's room and hit the lights. The lid to the toy box was heavingup and down. I lifted the top and there with his wheels fullyextended was the truck fighting its way to the top of the toypile. When I explained the trucks behavior to my friend it upsether a little. I removed the toys batteries and put it away in thegarage with the threat that if it ever moved again on its own itwas being trashed. My son dug this truck out of the garage nottoo long ago. We put fresh batteries in it but it refused to work.The toy was thrown away.
