Birthday Ghost
G'Day, it's Matthewhere and I've got a pretty freaky story. Before I start, I'd liketo thank this website for giving me the oppurtunity to tell mystory. Anyway, here's the story.
To celebrate my mum's fortieth birthday, we had a birthday partyat a restaurant, Proudfoots in Warrnambool.
At about the middle of the party, I decided to go out for a walkby the river (the Hopkin's River is right outside of Proudfoots). As I was walking by the river, I was thinking about my greatgrandma who had recently died. I was wishing that she could havebeen there, and I was thinking how much I missed her.
I was just about to turn around snd go back inside, when a carcame zooming past surrounded in mist. The car looked exactly likemy great granma's car (same colour and everyhting)! Even in thedark I could see it pretty good. That didn't really freak me outthat much, but what happened next did!
I started to turn around when I saw a figure standing up at thecarpark (the carpark is above the river, you just have to go upabout 12 steps to get there). The strange thing was, the figurelooked EXACTLY like my great grandma (the same height andevertyting). Then I heard the figure speak. Yep, you guessed it.It sounded just like my great grandma!
That was when I got freaked out. I started running back to thebuilding when I realised something. The figure was about the sameheight as the little light posts that were on both sides of thefigure. And maybe the voice was all in my head. I slowly walkedback and looked exactly where the figure was. Nothing stood wherethe figure used to be, it had vanished! I ran back inside anddidn't say anything.
A few months later, my dad, his family (including me)and hisgirlfriend and her son went camping at Halls Gap. There I told mysister and my dad's, girlfriend's son about my great grandma. They're the only people that I've told and they probably forgwetby now.
Anyway, my mum's 41 now and I haven't seen any other ghosts yet.You may not think it's a ghost, but I do.
