Ghostly Figures
Before I begin, I'mfrom the Netherlands, so my english is probably not that good,but anyway...
I lived with my mom in an appartment for about 16 years(i'm 22now) and nothing strange had happened except for the last 2 yearsI lived there. My mom had to work late for a couple of months, soI was home alone. I just came from a friend and I entered thefront door. I wanted to go into the livingroom, but somethin wasblocking the handle. I thought it was my mom who came back earlyfrom work, but the door was partly glass, so I looked at theotherside but couldn't see anybody. I found it very strange,so Itried to enter the livingroom through the bathroom(this was asmall appartement)but that door was also closed. I then movedback to the other door and saw a man looking at me from the otherside. He was holding the handle down and he was smiling. OfcourseI didn't think it was a ghost, I thought it was a burgler! I thenhad the feeling the man was playing around with me, cuz wheneverI ran back to the bathroom he would be blocking that door too!!
I then called my friend next door, who is a big man, he saw thesame guy to, and tried to scare him off with a baseball bat. Myneighbour accidentally broke the glass in the door and at thatmoment, we could open the door without any problem. We searchedthe house, but never found anyone...a few days later, I went intothe "shed" (like I sais, my english is not that good,soI don't know what to call it) to get my bike.
I saw the same man smiling at me again, but for some reason iwasn't scared, he just smiled at me and I smiled back. At thatmoment he left through the back door and I never saw him again..Mymom had a picture of her father when he was in the military. Inever saw this picture before so I was very curious..It was thesame man I saw in my house and in the shed!! I told my mom thestory and she wasn't surprised at all..she told me her fatherwould often joke around with her by holding the doorhandle whenshe wanted to get into the room..........
