White Streaks
This strange storywas told to me by a woman coworker who had just moved fromVallejo to the Sacramento area. During our lunch break, I wasreading a reader's digest about hauntings when Lisa ( coworker )asked what I was reading. I informed her of the subject and shebecame very silent of which I thought was odd. She said nothingmore thoughout the break which again is not her nature. Lisa wasa very talkative person and I have never seen her behave likethis. She seemed to be distant and withdrawn. The next day duringour lunch break, I asked her what was troubling her from theprevious day. She said stories of hauntings, ghost, andapparitions brings back very unpleasant memories.
I was finally able to coax Lisa into telling me her story. Lisaand her husband had lived in an old house they had acquired inVallejo a few years ago. During their move in period, Lisathought she saw flashes of white transparent streaks which woulddart down the hallway and into different rooms of the house.After numerous sightings of these white apparitions and a growingsense of uneasiness, Lisa told her husband. Of course Rich (Lisa's husband) was clueless and disregarded Lisa's concerns asimaginations. Lisa thought she was going insane and startedseeking psychiatric help. Lisa's sightings continued and herfeelings of chills and uneasiness escalated during the summermonths. Feeling isolated and alone while questioning her ownsanity, Lisa was on the verge of a mental breakdown.
Then one day while washing dishes, Rick came to Lisa with a lookof bewilderment. He said he too had just witness this strangeapparition. White translucent vapors seem to dart across the roomand down the hallway suddeningly disappearing into the walls.Rick said he felt the chill in the air during the sighting.Remember, this was a warm summer day. Lisa was finally relievedthat she was not going insane. The apparitions continued toappear from time to time but now, Rick was also witnessing them.It was during a weekend when Rick was digging up a old flowerplanter to install a sprinkler that he struck a buried object.Rich thought it was a rock or a portion of the house's foundation.Digging further down, Rick unearthed a tombstone. Shocked andfrighten, Rick reburied his discovery and put the house up forsale shortly thereafter. It was not until Rick and Lisa had movedto the Sacramento area that he informed Lisa of what he had found.Lisa said this is a true story and she is a very honest andtrustworthy person. Do you believe?
