Abu Dhabi Story
I should tell thestory before i forget it.....i just heard it last night whilecamping with a friend and her family.....a little backround: Jenn(ifer) and her parents are of chinese descent. Sue (her mom) hasalot of good TRUE ghost that she told us last night. Well, acoupla years ago before i met Jenn, she and her family wereliving in Abu Dahbi because her dad was working there along withalot of other foriegners all working for the same company.... Allemployees lived in a high rise apartment biulding.....Jenn andher family were in the eighth floor of the building.....her roomhad a big door sized window, but no balcony, just an iron safetybar thing surrounding the window....At the time there was aconstruction crew who were doing something outside and she had aview of the trailer they (crew) stayed in. So heres the firstpart of the story.......
It was News Years Eve in Abu Dahbi about 4 or so years ago andthere was a big party at the building with all the companyworkers......People were drinking and having a a great time andDom (inic), her dad was getting tired and so was the family, soat about 9:30 they went upstairs to go to sleep.....At aboutmidnight, Dom awoke to the screaming and yelling of people. Well,it was New Years Eve, so it made sense, eh?? In the morning allthe people were gossiping about the previous night and Dom askedwhat all the commotion was about, so he asked the guarddownstairs.....It turned out a trailer had burned to the groundthe previous night.....The same trailer Jenn could see from herwindow...Everybody got out unharmed except one man, a Filipinoguy who apprently had a little to drink to celebrate the New Year......Heburned along with the trailer.....Thats just the first part ofthe story.......
Now it was the middle of July, and it was VERY hot in Abu Dahbiat that time, so most of the families left on vacation tosomewhere cooler.....There was maybe three families left in thebuilding, mostly men because they had to work.....Late one nightDom awoke to a pounding noise.....It sounded like someone waspounding on the windows....He ignored thinking maybe it was thewind or a bird or something....He heard it again, so he got up....wanderingthru the house half asleep, tracing where the noise had comefromhe walked thru each of the rooms, finally coming to Jenn'sroom....He walked cautiously to the window, suddenly feeling thehairs on the back of his neck rise, his skinbreaking intogooseflesh, about to draw the drapes when he realized, "THISROOM IS EIGHT STORIES UP!! AND THERES NO BALCONY FOR A PERSON TOCLIMB ONTO!! Instead of pulling open the drapes, he pounded onthe window loudly three times, then opened the drapes.........threwas noone there, not a ! ! bird not anything big enough to poundthe window so hard....He quickly left the room and closed thedoor on the way out.....He and Sue believe it was the spirit ofthe filipino man as he must have been in his last seconds oflife, pounding on the small window of the trailer....the trailerwhich was in full view from the bedroom window....As for Jenn, she was as surprised to here about it as i was. Last night wasthe firdt time she heard about it and her parents didnt want toscare a 9 year old girl out of her mind at night. Well i may havemissed some details but this is pretty much how the story goes.......sorryits ssooooooo long....If you want I have a few more ghost storiesand true legends from my area as well as some Taiwanese storieswhich were also printed in newspapers over there........If youread this far, thanx for being patient...
