Moving Purse
Hi All,
I don't know anything about the Playhouse but I have a story totell you that happened while staying a weekend at the Myrtle'sPlantation in St. Francisville, Louisiana.
It is said that often the guests will find that their belongingshave been moved or redistributed in a different place in the room.There is evidently one of the ghosts (most likely Chloe) thatreally hates messy rooms. People have relayed stories where theyhave kicked off their shoes at night before going to bed only tofind them placed neatly at the foot or side of the bed the nextmorning. Well, getting back to what I was going to tell you....
One afternoon after our little group had arrived at thePlantation, my daughter and I had taken our belongings up stairsto our room. As we were in a hurry to get back down stairs andjoin the rest of the group, we just more or less threw our thingsdown. I kind of tossed my purse to a chair next to the bed andmissed.
Oh well! I was in too big a hurry to pick it back up and place iton the chair. Instead, we left the room. Later on my daughterwent upstairs to get something. When she returned, she asked mewhen I had been back upstairs to pick up my purse. Seems it hadmade its way to the chair. I told her I hadn't been back in theroom. The more we thought about it, the more it bothered us. Wedecided to test the theory that someone or something was puttingit back on the chair. So we went back upstairs and I set it onthe floor again. Went downstairs and about 15 minutes later wentback up to the room. You guessed it....my purse was sitting ontop of the chair again. We did this again and had one of my otherfriends go up the next time just to prove this was reallyhappening. The same thing happened again. Someone or somethingobviously didn't want my purse on the floor. The door was lockedso no one could have gotten in the room and our group justhappened to be the only ones staying at the house that night. Andthey were all accounted for. So that just left one explanation asfar as I am concerned.......
