Houston House
My story happenedin 1978, 20 yrs ago. I had rented an apt in the Montrose area indowntown Houston, Texas. At that time it wasnt a bad place tolive. Lots of neet resturants and shops of all kinds everywhereyou look. All of the houses in that area were old and some werebeautiful. Montrose had a romanic atmosphere with lots to dothere. The house I lived in was divided into 6 apts. My landladylived in the apt next to mine. I really thought I had the bestplace because I had the huge front porch entrance, with a grandpiano and a fireplace in the living room. Everyone else who livedthere had to go around back to get to there apts. The bedroomsand kitchen and bath were upstairs. SO many times I would find mydaughter stareing up the stairs at the balcony. She was 2 yrs old.Children are very sinsitive to paranormal stuff. More so thangrown-ups. One night around 3am my boyfriend jumps up out of hissleep all freaked out. I said whats wrong honey.? He said theresa ghost standing by your side of the bed and it looks like a man.
OK. Well, it took all of 30 seconds to jump up, get dressed, grabthe baby and run out of the house to the car parked out in front.We drove to a doughnut shop and drank coffee until the sun cameup. Another time about a month later I was alone in the house. Iwas doing some work on my painting project in the living. It wasabout 930pm. When suddenly I felt a mans breathe and moaning inmy left ear. Well, I freaked badly. I ran out of the house withno shoes or coat on, and it was in the winter time. I ran abouttwo blks before I could calm down. I found a phone and called myboyfriend at work. He wasnt real surprised, he said he was havingsecond thoughts about staying there any longer. the following dayI started asking the landlady if she was noticeing any thingfunny going on in her apt. Thats when she told me she was havingseaounces at her place. She said she wanted to help the lostsouls in the house reach the other side. She said the house usedto be an Insane Asslym before she bought it in 1949. And she feltsorry for the souls that never crossed over after their death. Ithen told her in a very angry voice, well they are coming over toour side of the house. We ended up moving at the end of the month.I cant live like that, could you? Its 20 years later and Im proudto say nothing like that ever happened to us again. Thank GOD.
