Pisces

You know it will be a good year when Mercury retrogrades on January 2nd. Some people are at a loss when forced to look inward, but you're in your element. This is a time of action, not just navel-gazing. You have almost six months to make all your dreaming amount to something. Most of February is about spreading and absorbing ideas, but you make a soul connection with your true purpose when the Sun enters Pisces. It's your birthday season and, until at least the third week of March, everything goes as planned, if not better.

After March 22nd, pass the baton to someone more energized. There's much to digest, and you'd rather not multitask. Late in April you focus on what you have and what you're getting. If there's any danger of getting lost in the material world, it comes to a head on May 15th. Why do you need more when, in effect, you already have everything? On the same day, you're reminded that you're just one person in this world. You'll need that acceptance and humility a week later when serious challenges pile up.

Summer sees the return of your wiser instincts. Until July 29th, your body knows what's best for you. In August, though, this self-indulgent trend turns dangerous, and possibly self-destructive. You never know whom you'll meet or how they might take advantage. Once the Sun reaches Virgo, you have a chance of standing up to your adversaries. After August 28th, secret and timely knowledge is your ultimate strength. It will be a few weeks before you can use this evidence, but the comfort of your plan is like money in the bank. Let the interest build.

Make your own luck after September 24th. Only you know when to be ready or where to jump. Toward the end of October, and especially when the Sun enters Scorpio, personal politics merge with the art of living well. You're passionate yet pragmatic. If you break a few extra eggs for your omelette, so be it. Thanksgiving is a reflective time, and bargain hunting saves your holiday shopping from extravagance. Shortly after the Winter Solstice, you recapture the magic that carried you through the early part of this past year.

Your love life in 2003
Lovers begin the year in their warm little cocoon. There's no room for others in your plans and exchanges of tenderness. As the Sign of dreams, Pisces should heed all unconscious signals on January 16th. Well-wishers, interlopers and the world in general intrude on your private paradise by month's end. Passionate couples seem more interested in talking than touching during February. Emotions and actions come together in a smooth, flowing whole after the 20th. Romance is your destiny and destination. You'll do anything for love, and generally it works.

After March 22nd, casual partners think more about their future. If you're moving on, it's a painless time to go. If you're meant to be together, that too is easy. Personal validation is all about self-love until beauty catches your eye late in April. Suddenly you're head over heels in infatuation's whirlpool. Be clear about your intentions in case the object of your desire is unattainable. For better or worse, the reality of your situation becomes clear as the Sun enters Gemini. Some couples were never meant to be, while others were never meant to last. By June 6th, you might meet someone much more suitable.

The first month of Summer is a sweet and rewarding time to act naturally. Impulsive behaviour gets too hot to handle on July 29th. A certain someone loses control and brings revelations about your relationship, your lover or maybe even yourself. Precarious balance is restored toward the end of August if all parties are able to step back, breathe deeply and keep their hands to themselves. For couples that need separate vacations, the Stars have already made your travel plans. Should you decide to come back to your old life, you're in a better position to talk on September 20th.

The dating scene gets busy with brief encounters and missed connections on September 24th. Disconnected soul mates find each other after October 22nd. Around the 25th, unspoken histories and cryptic terms of endearment finally make sense. Whether this is a new or old love, you understand each other better than ever. Partners in trouble should be more considerate from late November through mid-December. The holidays are an awful time to be miserable when everyone else is so cheerful. If you can stay together through this, next year already looks better.

Your career in 2003
Executives and the self-employed make sound decisions during the first days of January. Charting your course for the year always comes first. You operate in a near-perfect vacuum until the 22nd. Customers and committees may be at odds with your vision, but you have to listen to them. For style and fashion-based careers, these are interesting times. Enough is enough toward the end of February. After the 22nd, you settle comfortably into your groove. Your imagination does stellar work within budgetary limits. You have a month to accomplish great things.

Consider personal advancement at the Vernal Equinox. If you don't like what you're doing, there are ways to change it. Job seekers use a better offer to gain leverage with their current employer. You're less eager to play with job security once the Sun comes to Taurus. Workplace relations improve, especially for design professionals. Salespeople stake out a different territory on May 3rd. For about two weeks you're at the top of your game. Then the rules change. A deadline or presentation around June 6th is the epicentre for this unrest. After this point, your job becomes easier.

Plans run smoothly in late June, especially when you're the boss or the expert. Between July 24th and August 23rd, authority is challenged. Young or unstable employees find ways to act out during this time. Around August 28th, promotions happen from the inside instead of readjusting a balanced team around the unknown quirks and qualities of new hires. Projects are iffy throughout most of September, and the company infrastructure may be precarious. Everyone should understand the importance of working together.

Loyalty is sacrificed for profit around September 27th. In the long run, this equation is a losing proposition for everybody. About a month later, you might claim the moral high ground. Even if the players are completely different, redeem yourself by seizing this noble opportunity. An event around November 8th throws a counter-intuitive monkey wrench into your engine of commerce. It's business as usual if you're paying attention. If the 23rd finds you faltering, it may take a while to recover. A competitor's enthusiasm outshines your confidence. Tune out the distractions on December 23rd. At the core, you still have what it takes.
